Code-switching is a phenomenon where someone can act differently depending on the context. Case in point. I knew Mike first as a Dean of Discipline with a short sense of humor for shenanigans and roughhousery. I also knew him as a laid-back aficionado of bad jokes, good music, and tasty beer. His cream of garlic soup finds disfavor only amongst die-hard readers of Twilight (or is it un-die-hard?). His birthday just passed, and he just completed his first Broad Street Run. Huzzah!
